Palousa San Sabastian was sired by SAN REMO a Black, 1.72m stallion.San Remo's father, WOLKENTANZ I, won Champion of the Stallion Licensing in 1993 and in 1994 he was German Champion Three-Year Old Riding Horse, and Reserve Champion of the Stallion Performance. WOLKENTANZ I's world famous sire, WELTMEYER amoung other achievements was 1986 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing Champion.

Palousa San Sabastian's great grandsire VOLTURNO was by VOLLKORN XX who in 1978 and 1980 was German eventing champion, with Two Silver Olympic Medals (1976 Montreal, 1980 France) and a Silver medal at World Three-Day Event Championships (1978 Lexington) under his belt.

On Palousa San Sabastians dams side his grandsire is GRIBALDI a Black 1.72m Elite Dressage Stallion with many achievements including, TRAKEHNER STALLION OF THE YEAR 2008. GRIBALDI's sire KOSTOLANY was the champion at the Trakehner stallion selection at Neumünster 1987. Palousa San Sabastian's dam PALOUSA-CAPRICE was 5 times 'National Champion' of Dutch Appaloosa Studbook, NAS (Nederlands Appaloosa Stamboek).
