Volturno

Palousa San Sabastians great grandfather on his sires side is VOLTURNO a Black bay, 1.63m stallion.

Volturno was owned, raised and ridden by Otto Ammermenn. In 1988, he was exported to the US for breeding but was attacked and killed at the quarantine station. He was buried at the end of Kentucky's Rolex cross country course.

His accomplishments include German Silver Medal team member, 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, 1978 World Three-Day Event Championships,1980 Alternate Olympics. He completed 27 International three day events finishing in the top three in 20.

He retired sound and became Europe's leading warmblood three day event sire.
